Background 

One-Two were brought on-board to develop Meridian’s digital marketing; set up Google Ads and develop SEO.

There had been limited digital marketing focus to date and the business had traditionally relied on word of mouth and repeat customers. With competition stepping up their digital game, it was time to have more focus to better compete, bring new customers and raise awareness of the brand in local areas. 

Approach

Several meetings to understand the business, what the goals were and a tour of the showroom and factory. 

The site wasn’t set up well enough to benefit from advertising spend, or had the infrastructure to boost organic rankings, so we commissioned one of our preferred design & development agencies to develop a brand new site to future proof the website, and provide a great foundation for testing landing pages and SEO content. 

Worked closely with the agency, and client to create a structure that worked for the potential customer, for search and gave Meridian what they needed and PPC landing page templates to use.

Once the site was ready and bedded in, we set live the Google Ads which was built around the site structure and geo-targeted to the right areas, with well written ads tailored to the search query. The aim of the activity is to generate new enquiries. 

Challenges

Challenge: The previous website was quite dated and not ready for advertising / SEO efforts. 

Solution: Worked with an agency to get a completely new site which worked well for SEO and provided bespoke PPC landing pages to gain more enquiries. We worked closely with them to make sure the site worked from a digital marketing perspective, the businesses and a potential customer. 

Challenge: The client knows their trade well and we know ours, but sometimes there was a breakdown in understanding the value of digital marketing & what it was driving.

Solution: We worked closely to provide better reporting to help show the performance, and got the right tracking in place to see where enquiries were coming from.

  • Ranked the site for over 200 new keywords within 3 months of the new site
